When shopping for an engagement ring, there are so many shapes and types of diamonds, settings and bands, that it can be easy to get overwhelmed.
The easiest way to find out which diamond shape is right or you or your partner is to just ask!
However, if you want the ring to be a complete surprise, here are some basic guidelines for finding the perfect diamond shape for your partner.
The most common diamond shapes available are princess, emerald, cushion, round Asscher, pear, heart, oval, radiant, and marquise.
It’s important to consider the type of personality of the person who will be ultimately wearing the ring. Do they want to blind innocent onlookers with a Superbowl-worthy rock? Or would they prefer something more understated?
If they use their hands or for wear gloves for work (a nurse, for example), you might want to consider a platinum ring that can stand up to chemicals, and low-set design that is less likely to get caught in a latex glove.
There are diamonds that flatter smaller hands and larger hands as well as preferred styles for thicker or thinner fingers.
Come into Kramar Jewelry and we will go through all of your options with you and find a unique ring that fits both your partner’s unique personality and hand size and shape.
Or give us a call and we can answer any questions you may have!
